As I said in some earlier posts, I like the black and white designs. Here are some very nice black and white portfolio websites designs to inspire you as a designer/customer that needs a new website for his company. What`s so nice in black and white designs ? Well the simplicity! These kind of designs are very simple, creative and can reflect the designer personality, work style etc.
Complicated websites or too colorful ones are too strong, they take your eyes off! The black & white style shows you what you need to see. For example you enter to a designer portfolio website that is simple, clever and you find very easy the portfolio and you can see the photos with a very nice and clever background. If the site is too complicated or too colorful then you will be a little dizzy and you are looking for the portfolio, complicated sites distract your attention!
I`m not saying that complicated sites sucks, the most of them are very nice done and very eyecatching, that reflects what they need to. But when you make a complicated website make sure that your users will find easy what they are looking for!

Some of those sites are anything but b&w. They just have black backgrounds.
A useful topic is worth provide feedback. I think that you should generate more on this area, it might not be a taboo question but generally people are insufficient to chat on such topics. To the next. Cheers
