About the author This article has been written by Daniel Pintilie a freelance writer working for for Go-gulf.com, a kuwait web design company that provides web design solution in Bahrain,Sharjah and Middle East.

The blogosphere is getting bigger and bigger and, apparently, becoming over-saturated is only a matter of time. Some bloggers believe that there aren’t any subjects left to be approached but, fortunately, each day, a blog or more find a niche which isn’t fully covered and become successful by attracting a lot of visitors.

Another recent feature of blogs is the movement from the online presence to the real world; the recent violence in the entire world is only a single but tremendous example. The purpose of the post isn’t to reveal the role of bloggers in these conflicts but we should recognize that they are more important within the social community with every day that passes.
Having such a numerous and large palette of blogs, the competition is harsh and only few manage to became really influential. In the overall success of any blog a great number of factors take part, the most important being: the quality of the posts, the age of the blog, the topics, the public target, SEO friendly measures, the length of the post or the publishing schedule.
The last factor mentioned isn’t treated as it should be by many bloggers and, definitely, a more careful look could represent a guarantee for more visitors; so, it goes without saying that it can’t be ignored. I propose here only the four, most influential tips tips to establish a good publishing schedule but I will be grateful to all the readers who offer solutions, so don’t be afraid of using the comment form.

1. Avoid by all means any amalgam

The success of any schedule is dependent on the discipline, nobody can realize something if each day something is changed or that person doesn’t respect a pattern. A blog should have a clear way of publishing, in order to make the trusty visitors accustomed to it, else the confusion is more than probable and lots will search for another source of information. It is simple: present only some topics, not everything which is hot at the moment; on the plus side, the posts should have a similar length and style. From the start of the blog launch, the administrator should have a clear pattern, a prototype to respect and he must have a target public which may be interested in the future posts. The huge majority of the readers just scan the text and, if they see something worthy, they continue to read; an amalgam of thoughts and posts which aren’t homogeneous can’t be scanned!
In a nutshell, how to avoid the amalgam:
-establish a clear way of publishing (at the end or at the beginning of the week, everyday, weekly);
-follow a prototype of the posts (similar length, fragmentation on paragraphs, images inserted);
-maintain an own style (it doesn’t matter if you write academically or familiarly, just try to be constant);

2. Write and publish from the perspective of the readers

Each blogger or administrator of a blog is aware about his loyal readers and, when they post something, in order to be quickly noticed by them, it is highly recommended to post at decent intervals of time, enough to have the room for it but also to not make them to forget you. Generally speaking, this tip can be regarded as nothing more than words in vain, but applying it particularly, more concrete, it turns into a precious piece of information. Definitely, the last judge is the audience and mostly it decides what is worthy or not and this is equivalent that the schedule of posting is related to it.

Example: let’s suppose that someone based in Europe is administering for more than two years a blog about Japan and Japanese culture and he posts an article each day excepting the weekend. At the moment of writing this article, all the Internet users were searching for new information about the unspeakable earthquake and thinking in this way the respective blogger should increase the number of posts per day to supply with fresh information the readers. The schedule of posting wasn’t respected but the context really allows this exception; every time the blogger must respect the demand of the public, try thinking as they do.

3. Never neglect the power of social media

Almost all the blogs have plug-ins inserted which allows an easy distribution along various social networks which is equivalent with more visitors. To receive more traffic, it is a smart idea to correlate the best time of distribution among social networks with the date and hour of publishing, so the fresh ideas can get better feedback. This step requires many hours spent on observation of the public’s reactions but the long term results deserve this effort.

4. Pay attention to quality

Many bloggers consider daily posting the best scheme to receive many visits on site but this is only a superficial conclusion. Truly, a good posting scheme is important but another entity has a bigger influence: the quality of the post; between posting daily nothing important and posting weekly an in-depth article, plenty of cool facts, I believe the last option is better.
Finally, imagine your blog as a perfume; the schedule of posting is the number of uses of this- enough to feel the pleasant smell but not to annoy the people around you. If the perfume is high quality then the reaction of the public is positive and maybe they will be interested in it; also with the blog, if the essence, the quality is superior then the visitors will come again and again. Use the perfect dosage, respectively the best schedule of posting, to make your public not to forget you but not annoy them with your insistence.

    Thanks for the reminder! I know that updating on a constant schedule is very important, but I still fall back into an irregular pattern. Sometimes I publish 3 posts in a week, than it’s just one or even none the next…I always keep forgetting to schedule the posts in advance instead of publishing everything right away… :/
